Passengers heading overseas and returning to Australia are likely to experience delays.

Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) members of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, including the Australian Border Force, will be taking part in protected industrial action which will affect Melbourne Airport from 12:00am Friday 12 August (Thursday night/Friday morning) to 1am Saturday 13 August.

Passengers heading overseas and returning to Australia are likely to experience delays.

Passengers have been advised to arrive at the airport when their flight opens for check-in — at least three hours before their departure time.  They should then proceed directly to security screening and passport control once check-in is completed.

Additional customer service volunteers will be on duty to assist passengers during this time.
