Taxi and Rideshare

Taxis and rideshare are a convenient way to get to and from the airport. Taxis and Uber pick up locations are conveniently positioned directly outside the Arrivals Hall at the southern end of the terminal building. Please call to arrange baby capsules, wheelchair access, five-seaters and maxi taxis for larger groups or large amounts of baggage.

The approximate cost of a taxi to Launceston is $37 to $42 each way.

Surcharges apply on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.

Uber

You can now ride with Uber without using the app. Simply call 13 82 37 from a mobile phone that can receive a text message. Call between 5am - 8pm to book a trip on demand or pre-book up to 90 days in advance.

Rideshare & Chauffer

Other rideshare and private bookings can take advantage of free 30 minute parking in the short stay car park in front of the terminal building and also pick up and drop off in the public lane.

Other transport options

Currently there is no Shuttle Bus service to/from Launceston Airport.

Alternative transport options to and from Launceston Airport include taxi, Uber and rental car. For those quick drop-offs and pick-ups our 30 minute free parking offer is available in the short stay car park.
