Launceston Airport CEO to take on new role in New Zealand

Shane O’Hare has announced his intention to step down as CEO of Launceston Airport to take up an opportunity as CEO of Queenstown Airport in New Zealand.

Since joining Launceston Airport in June 2021, Shane has helped drive the airport’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, grow its domestic network and instigated a major capital works program to improve the passenger experience.

Shane will continue as CEO of Launceston Airport for the coming months while a search is undertaken for a replacement and will remain on the board of Tourism Tasmania.

Shane will depart with the best wishes of all at the Australia Pacific Airports Corporation.
