Liv Eat lands ahead of school holidays taking off
Travellers coming through Launceston Airport during the upcoming school holidays will be treated to a Tassie favourite with Liv Eat officially opening today.
The healthy eating alternative will bring its fresh menu featuring warm bowls, burritos,
smoothies & premium Tasmanian roasted coffee to the airport’s departure hall just in time for the start of the School Holidays this Friday.
Launceston Airport is expecting more than 60,000 travellers across the upcoming two-
week holiday period, which represents a three per cent increase on the same period last year.
The last day of the school holidays is expected to be the busiest with more than 4400 passengers forecast on Sunday the 20th of July.
Launceston Airport CEO Shane O'Hare said it was wonderful to provide passengers with
an iconic Tassie option as part of a wider food and beverage refresh.
"Passengers expect more than just generic "airport food" when they travel these days,"
he said.
"We want to give passengers a true taste of Tasmania when they fly through Launceston
Airport and Liv Eat delivers that - whether passengers are dining in-terminal or need a
snack to enjoy onboard
"We're thrilled to have them open for passengers ahead of what's going to be a really
busy two weeks with school holidays kicking off on Friday.
"This is the biggest change to our food and beverage options in the airport's history and Liv Eat is just the first, with Gatty's Bar, Kanamaluka café and an expanded Launceston Store all set to open in the coming months.

open at the airport.
